Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using The Flight Agent ("Service", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and subscribers.

2. Description of Service

The Flight Agent is an AI-powered flight price monitoring platform. Users configure automated "scouts" that continuously monitor flight prices between specified routes and send alerts when prices drop below a defined budget. We do not sell airline tickets directly. All bookings are completed by the user via third-party providers.

3. Scout Activity, Slowing and Pausing

A scout checks its route about once an hour while you are actively using the Service. To keep the Service sustainable we do not run every scout at that rate indefinitely, and a scout's checking frequency may be reduced automatically in the following circumstances:

• Your account has been inactive. If you have not signed in, opened the app, or acted on an alert for around a month, your scouts reduce to a few checks a day. They keep running and you keep receiving alerts. Signing in restores hourly checking automatically.
• The scout is not finding anything. If a scout has searched roughly 150 times without finding a fare under your budget, it reduces its checking frequency and may pause. We email you when this happens, and you can restart it at any time.
• Your budget is below the market price. If the cheapest fare we can find on a route is consistently above your target, the scout checks less often, because only a change in the market or in your budget can produce a result. Our email will tell you the price we are actually seeing.

A scout is stopped entirely only where it cannot succeed as configured — for example if it has no budget set, or its destination does not correspond to a real airport — or once its travel date has passed. We notify you by email before or when a scout is paused or stopped, and no scout is ever deleted without your action.

These thresholds are operational settings rather than contractual guarantees, and we may adjust them as the Service develops. They apply equally to free and paid scouts.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

5. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@theflightagent.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

6. Plans and Payments

The Flight Agent is free to use with two scouts. There is no time limit on the free scouts and no card is required to use them.

If you need more, additional scouts cost $5 per scout per month, bought as an add-on. There is no plan to upgrade to: you pay only for the extra scouts you choose to add, and you can remove them at any time.

Free and paid scouts are treated identically. Checking frequency depends on how the scout and your account are being used, as described in section 3 — never on whether you are paying.

All payments are processed securely via Lemon Squeezy. Add-ons renew monthly unless cancelled, and you may cancel at any time through your billing dashboard.

7. Accuracy of Information

Flight prices and availability change in real time. We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee that prices identified by our scouts will remain available at the time of booking. All bookings are made at your own risk via external platforms. The Flight Agent is not responsible for any price changes between alert delivery and purchase.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, software, branding, and technology comprising the Service are the property of The Flight Agent and its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written permission. User-submitted data (flight preferences, budget settings) remains your property; you grant us a limited licence to use it solely to operate the Service on your behalf.

9. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service in bulk
• Disrupt or interfere with the Service's infrastructure
• Share or resell access to the Service without authorisation
• Use automated tools to create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the Service. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings, which will immediately remove all associated data from our systems.

11. Limitation of Liability

The Flight Agent is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed flights, travel disruptions, or financial losses arising from use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 30 days preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict of law principles.
