London to Dubai is one of the most competitive routes out of the UK, and it shows in the prices. Across six months of departures, the cheapest one-way fare stayed in a tight band: £341 to £390. Even December barely moved. But almost none of those cheap fares were the nonstop flight most people picture when they book Dubai.
How we got these numbers: on 25 September 2026 we ran live searches through the same flight search The Flight Agent uses, departing London Heathrow on the 15th of each month from October 2026 to March 2027, and kept the 12 cheapest itineraries for each date (72 fares in total). Every price is one-way, economy, one adult, in pounds. A return is usually a little under double. Other days in the same month can be cheaper or dearer, and fares move by the hour, so treat these as a snapshot of what the market looked like, not a quote.
London to Dubai ticket prices, month by month
| Departing | Cheapest one-way | Airline | Journey time | Fastest of the 12 cheapest |

| 15 October 2026 | £390 | Saudia | 13h 25m | £443 · Gulf Air · 8h 45m |
| 15 November 2026 | £341 | Oman Air | 9h 10m | £375 · Qatar Airways · 8h 50m |
| 15 December 2026 | £368 | LOT Polish Airlines | 18h 15m | £565 · British Airways · 7h 40m |
| 15 January 2027 | £345 | Oman Air | 9h 10m | £345 · Oman Air · 9h 10m |
| 15 February 2027 | £343 | LOT Polish Airlines | 18h 15m | £345 · Oman Air · 9h 10m |
| 15 March 2027 | £343 | LOT Polish Airlines | 18h 15m | £367 · Qatar Airways · 8h 50m |
The spread between the cheapest and dearest month was just £49. On this route, when you fly matters much less than which fare you pick on the day.
The direct-flight premium
Emirates and British Airways both fly nonstop from Heathrow to Dubai in around seven hours. Only 1 of the 72 cheapest fares was nonstop: British Airways on 15 December 2026, £565 for 7h 40m. The cheapest fare that same day was £368 with LOT Polish Airlines — so the direct flight cost £197 more. Emirates did not appear in the 12 cheapest fares on any date we checked.
Everything else connected somewhere — 69 of the 72 with one stop, 2 with two — each via its airline's own hub: Oman Air through Muscat, Saudia through Saudi Arabia, Qatar through Doha, Gulf Air through Bahrain, EgyptAir through Cairo, LOT through Warsaw.
The cheapest fare is often a false economy
This is the part worth reading twice. In February the cheapest fare was £343 with LOT Polish Airlines, taking 18h 15m via Warsaw and without a checked bag. The cheapest fare with a bag included, Oman Air at £345, took 9h 10m and included a bag.
That is £2 more for a journey 9h 05m shorter with luggage included. Adding a bag to the cheaper ticket would almost certainly cost more than the difference. 11 of the 72 fares had no checked bag, so it is worth checking every time.
The quick one-stop options were the real value on this route: Oman Air via Muscat and Qatar Airways via Doha both appeared repeatedly at around nine hours in total, only an hour or two longer than flying direct.

When to fly to Dubai
Dubai's pleasant season is roughly November to March, when daytime temperatures are in the mid-20s°C. Summer is extremely hot. Because London–Dubai prices were so flat in our data, the winter months — when you would actually want to be there — were no more expensive than October.
- Cheapest: November (£341), with January to March almost identical.
- Most expensive: October (£390) — and even that is modest.
- If you want nonstop, expect to pay a clear premium over the cheapest connecting fare.
Cheap fares on long-haul routes do not wait around. In our own study of 15,231 fare observations, half of all cheap price windows closed within 10 hours. That is why the practical advice is not "book on a Tuesday" but "decide your price, then get told the moment it appears".
Entry requirements for UK travellers
British passport holders can currently get a free visit visa on arrival in the UAE. Rules and durations can change, so check the UK government's entry requirements for the UAE before you travel.
